Phil&Teds Explorer Reivew

The Phil&Teds Explorer is a stroller that grows with your baby and your family.  With the  doubles kit you can make this all-terrain stroller fit a single child from birth, a newborn and a toddler, or two toddlers with ease.

Weighing only 26 lbs it can accommodate a growing child up to 44lbs on the front of the stroller.  The doubles seat when used in the rear of the stroller has a weight limit of 33lbs.

The 5 point harness features red buttons that must be pushed to release the buckle making it more difficult for a child to release the buckle without their parent or caregiver’s knowledge, perfect for those little escape artists.

The main seat goes all the way flat making the stroller appropriate for a newborn right out of the box.  In this mode, the back panel is clear plastic so that baby is visible even when the shade is pulled forward.  There is a bassinet available as well as adaptors for an infant car seat to make the stroller in to a travel system.

The Explorer features a large basket suitable for a whole day’s worth of baby or toddler supplies as well as an easy to use, flip-flop friendly brake.  It can be folded easily with one hand.  The doubles kit seat must be removed before folding if it is on the back of the seat but when the seat is in newborn/toddler mode, the Explorer can be folded with the second seat in place.

Our testers loved riding in the Phil&Teds Explorer.  None of them minded being in the lower seat.  They never complained about not being able to see or about being uncomfortable.  The inline design made this stroller easier to maneuver than a side by side double stroller.  It fit through doors with the ease of a single stroller.  The Phil&Teds Explorer with it’s versatility is a must have for growing families on the go.
