As a doula, I know many people have never heard of the term “VBAC,” which is the acronym for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean. The old saying “once a C-section, always a C-section” is a myth! Over the years, I’ve supported dozens of VBAC mamas to have successful vaginal births after C-sections. Because of myths like this, many families don’t receive enough accurate information or support about VBACs from their communities or care providers. This is saddening because they are great options for many women. However, I also know that they aren’t for everyone.

Today, I’m chatting with Meagan and Julie, doulas, VBAC moms, and co-owners of the VBAC Link. They are the ideal women to talk to about this topic because they believe in improving birth after cesarean by providing education, support, and a community of like-minded people. This is why we’re talking all about VBACs: how to know if you’re a good candidate, what the benefits and risks are, what you can do to increase your chances of having a VBAC, and more!
